The only thing better than listening to music is reading about it.

It brings me great pleasure to announce that the three bands we interviewed this issue will literally blow your mind’s mind. And it’s no coincidence that when you looked at our home page, you immediately looked at your CD collection and realized you were missing material by the Japanese equivalent of Devo, a punk-flavored math metal band and a group of gypsy-Ethiopian-death-metal-video-game-rockers. Oh, it’s no accident; I just know you that well. (For God’s sake, put some pants on.)

If you hate everything, then Polysics, the Blood Brothers and Estradasphere are for you. Not that they’re angry bands, but if you erased your entire memory of all of the music you’ve ever heard and started from scratch with these three, you’d have nothing bad to say about anything. Even though Perfect Pitch Online hasn’t existed for very long, I can honestly say that we haven’t given publicity to a band that I only slightly liked. In the subjective world of music and entertainment, I’m proud to say that our taste is the most right out of everyone. Kidding. (Maybe.) (Or am I?) My point is, we won’t waste your time with bands we don’t like. We’ll only waste your time with boring rhetoric about how we promise not to waste your time.

And in the spirit of not wasting your time – assuming you haven’t already choked yourself to death to take the easy way out of reading my semi-fine display of literary crapulence in its entirety – Keith Bergman, our resident Simon Cowell of the dollar clearance bins, returns (well, technically he never left, despite restraining orders and electric shock treatments) for the third installment in the ever-sexy “Dollar Binge” series. Be sure to read the whole thing – Keith’s written a cliffhanger ending with a surprise twist that’s sure to make you, well, do something, or not, probably!

Thanks for reading; hope you enjoy. And if you’re in a band, we’re always on the lookout for possible MP3 of the Week features. If you want free publicity with little effort, shoot us an e-mail and we’ll talk.

If you want my body, and you think I’m sexy, c’mon sugar, let me know,
Erik Fong
